853 WWUS20 KWNS 030026 SEL7 SPC WW 030026 KSZ000-NEZ000-030700- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 567 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 730 PM CDT Sat Aug 2 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Western Kansas Southwest Nebraska * Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 730 PM until 200 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms will continue to spread eastward into parts of western Kansas and southwest Nebraska this evening. The more intense cores should pose some threat for large hail up to 1.5-2.5 inches in diameter and scattered severe/damaging winds around 60-75 mph. A tornado or two may also occur. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles east and west of a line from 15 miles east northeast of Imperial NE to Liberal KS.
