419 WWUS20 KWNS 262143 SEL8 SPC WW 262143 IDZ000-270300- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 468 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 345 PM MDT Wed Jun 26 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern and Central Idaho * Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 345 PM until 900 PM MDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Widely scattered to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast to continue to develop this afternoon and persist into the evening across southern and central Idaho. A few of the stronger storms may evolve into weak supercells. The more intense thunderstorms will be potentially capable of severe gusts (60-70 mph) and large hail (1 to 1.5 inches in diameter). The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles northwest of Boise ID to 60 miles south of Monida MT.
