...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of east central and
southeast New Mexico, including the following areas, in east central
New Mexico, De Baca County. In southeast New Mexico, Chaves County
Plains and Southwest Chaves County.

Flash flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed any remaining road closures.

...FLOOD WATCH WILL EXPIRE AT 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch will expire for a portion of central New
Mexico, including the following area, South Central Mountains. This
includes the Ruidoso area burn scars.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood
Watch will expire at 9 PM MDT this evening.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
  area, South Central Mountains. This includes the Ruidoso area burn
  scars.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms will develop across the Sacramento
    Mountains late Monday morning peaking during the early to mid
    afternoon hours. Storm motion will be extremely slow and
    erratic. Antecedent wet soils from this weekend`s shower and
    thunderstorm activity along with heavy rainfall rates of up
    to 3 inches an hour will help to promote the potential for
    flash flooding and debris flow on the Ruidoso area burn
    scars.

Lincoln County, Estancia Valley, Sandia and Manzano Mountains
including Edgewood and South Central Highlands. In east central New
Mexico, Guadalupe County. In north central New Mexico, East Slopes
Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass
and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. In northeast New Mexico,
Northeast Highlands.

The flash flooding threat has ended. Therefore, the Flash Flood
Watch will expire at 9 PM MDT this evening.
