...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall may be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northwest, and west central New
  Mexico, including the following areas, in north central New
  Mexico, Far Northwest Highlands, Jemez Mountains and Northwest
  Highlands. In northwest New Mexico, Chuska Mountains and Northwest
  Plateau. In west central New Mexico, West Central Mountains and
  West Central Plateau.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Abundant moisture over the region will interact with a slow-
    moving disturbance sliding over northwest NM to produce
    showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight.
    Locally heavy rainfall is expected with rainfall rates of 1
    to 2 inches per hour possible.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast New Mexico,
  including the following areas, in north central New Mexico, East
  Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Southern Sangre de Cristo
  Mountains. In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Heavy rainfall impacted the southern portions of the Hermits
    Peak-Calf Canyon wildfire burn scar yesterday and overnight
    with flooding already being observed yesterday. This will
    exacerbate the flooding threat over the burn scar today and
    tonight.

  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
  area, South Central Mountains.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Heavy rainfall impacted the wildfire burn scars around
    Ruidoso on Wednesday with flooding already observed. Soils
    are soaked, and this will exacerbate the flooding threat over
    the burn scar today and tonight.
