...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central New Mexico, including
  the following areas, in central New Mexico, San Agustin Plains and
  Adjacent Lowlands. In west central New Mexico, San Francisco River
  Valley and Southwest Mountains.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Much of the area received a soaking rainfall of one half inch to
    two inches Monday and Monday night, saturating soils and
    increasing flows through area creeks and streams. Heavy rainfall
    rates of one to two inches per hour this afternoon and evening
    over saturated soils may result in flash flooding, including on
    and downstream of the Sacaton/Hummingbird burn scar.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central New Mexico, including
  the following areas, in central New Mexico, San Agustin Plains and
  Adjacent Lowlands. In west central New Mexico, San Francisco River
  Valley and Southwest Mountains.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
  heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Deep monsoon moisture will continue to move into western and
    central New Mexico, helping numerous showers and thunderstorms to
    develop. Stronger storms will be capable of producing heavy
    rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour with some areas
    receiving multiple rounds of storms. This will be too fast and
    heavy for the ground to adequately absorb, leading to excessive
    runoff and flash flooding.

    Recent wildfire burn scars such as the Sacaton and Hummingbird in
    Catron county will be especially vulnerable to flash flooding.
