The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Socorro County in central New Mexico...

* Until 745 PM MDT.

* At 445 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across northern Socorro County near and north of
  Bernardo. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
  rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Bernardo, Abeytas and Sabinal.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 167.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 174 and 183.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.

Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth. Turn
around don`t drown!
