...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM MDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast New Mexico, including the following
  county, central Chaves.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1057 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.75 inches
    of rain have fallen northeast and east of Roswell.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Roswell, Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge and Midway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
