...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central New Mexico, including the
  following county, central Guadalupe.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 606 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms moving northeast across eastern Guadalupe
    County. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up
    to 2 inches of rain have fallen over parts of the area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Puerto De Luna.
  - The heaviest rain has fallen along portions of State Road 91,
    State Road 156, U.S. Highway 54, and U.S. Highway 84.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
