889 FNUS55 KABQ 150904 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 304 AM MDT Sun Jun 15 2025 ...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER POSSIBLE MONDAY THEN CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER POSSIBLE TUESDAY... .DISCUSSION... Very hot and dry conditions will impact the region again today with greater coverage of high-based showers and dry storms possible. The main focus will be in the higher terrain south of I-40 and the high plains of eastern NM. Southwest to west winds will trend a little stronger Monday over western NM with elevated critical fire weather possible. West winds will become breezy over the entire region on Tuesday with widespread single digit humidity. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected. A moist backdoor cold front will then enter eastern NM Tuesday night while the upper level high strengthens over NM once again. The coverage of high-based showers and storms is likely to increase along and east of the central mountain chain Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures will also be very hot again with more single digit humidity for western NM. ................................................................
