595 FNUS55 KABQ 062002 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 202 PM MDT Mon Oct 6 2025 .DISCUSSION... A moist cold front has moved into northeastern New Mexico, and scattered thunderstorm activity will be concentrated along and just ahead of this boundary through the late afternoon. Showers will expand to more of eastern New Mexico tonight with excellent humidity recovery and even some patchy fog developing through dawn Tuesday. Storms will expand to more central and even western areas of the state Tuesday and Wednesday with a few strong to even severe storms possible with hail, lots of lightning, and brief heavy downpours. Storms will reduce in coverage and shift to northwestern New Mexico on Thursday and Friday. ................................................................
