Breezy south winds prevail areawide this afternoon, with isolated showers and storms in western New Mexico. Saturday will be windier with wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph around the area and showers and storms in north-central areas. After drier weather with lighter winds Sunday, rain chances increase again from the east on Monday. At least scattered showers and storms are expected from Tuesday through Friday, with wetting rainfall likely in the mountains of central and northern New Mexico. ................................................................
