Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for the next 7 days. The main fire weather concern will be poor ventilation today and Thursday along and west of the Central Mountain Chain, and potentially across more widespread areas Friday into the weekend. Light precipitation is possible across north central and northeast areas on Wednesday, but dry conditions will prevail otherwise through at least Thursday. Gusty north to northwest winds will continue across northeast NM this morning, but will wane this afternoon. A few west to southwesterly breezes are in store for Wednesday, and northerly breezes will return across northeast NM on Thursday. Forecast uncertainty increases Friday into the weekend as a storm system crosses the area, but at this time, there are very low chances of precipitation. ................................................................
