No critical fire weather conditions are expected over the next week. Daily rounds of afternoon thunderstorms are expected across central and western New Mexico along the higher terrain. More widespread precipitation is likely beginning Thursday and extending into the weekend, where the flash flooding risk increases as a result of multiple rounds of heavy rain. Gusty and erratic outflow winds are expected near thunderstorms, but winds are likely to remain light elsewhere. ................................................................
