515 FNUS55 KABQ 010727 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 127 AM MDT Thu Oct 1 2026 .DISCUSSION... Light rain showers will persist across northeast NM today, but other areas will be dry. Gusty north winds will impact northeast and east central NM through the afternoon hours. Gusts between 30 and 50 mph will be common. Light rain and/or drizzle will develop tonight and continue into Friday morning across eastern NM while another round of patchy fog develops across valley locations of western and northern NM. A weak to moderate gap wind is also expected tonight in the Rio Grande Valley. Quiet conditions are expected for the weekend, though poor ventilation is on tap for most locations on Saturday. Easterly winds will be slightly stronger on Sunday. A weak storm system may cross NM on Tuesday allowing precipitation chances to return. ................................................................
