295 FNUS55 KABQ 142133 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 333 PM MDT Sat Jun 14 2025 .DISCUSSION... Hot and mostly dry conditions are in place over much of northern and central New Mexico this afternoon. The exception is in southeastern and northeastern New Mexico where a few stray thunderstorms will roll eastward through the evening. Dry thunderstorms will be possible in the southwestern mountains again on Sunday with additional storms in the eastern plains. Meanwhile hot temperatures will prevail across all areas with very low humidity persisting in western areas of the state. Fewer storms are forecast for Monday in the southwestern mountains and along and just east of the central mountain chain. An upper level disturbance will cross the Rockies on Tuesday, leading to breezy to windy conditions along with hot temperatures, and very low humidity of 5 to 10 percent. This will introduce a higher risk of critical fire weather for much of northern and central New Mexico Tuesday. Winds will be lighter on Thursday and Friday, but hot and mostly dry conditions will prevail. ................................................................
