126 FNUS55 KABQ 032027 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 227 PM MDT Fri Oct 3 2025 .DISCUSSION... Breezy to locally windy conditions are ongoing this afternoon with northeastern areas of New Mexico observing the strongest gusts. A few showers have also started developing in far western New Mexico, and some thunderstorms will follow through the evening hours. However, the chances for soaking rainfall remain quite low. On Saturday, winds will strengthen and showers and storms will be concentrated in northwestern and north central parts of the state. Wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph will become more common with northeastern areas reaching 40 to near 50 mph Saturday afternoon. A beautiful fall day is in store for Sunday with temperatures running near to just slightly above normal along with light to moderate breezes. The rest of next week looks to remain seasonable with low chances of precipitation each day. ................................................................
