043 FNUS55 KABQ 160757 FWFABQ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North and Central New Mexico National Weather Service Albuquerque NM 157 AM MDT Mon Jun 16 2025 ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR WEST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, AND VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER... .DISCUSSION... Western areas will see 6 to 18 hours of single-digit humidity each afternoon, with increasing westerly winds today and especially Tuesday. This will result in critical fire weather conditions by Tuesday afternoon where the ongoing Buck Fire is located, and where abundant dry lightning strikes were observed last Friday. Dangerous heat is also present each afternoon with highs in the 90s to low 100s many areas today thru at least Tuesday. Highs back down several degrees Wednesday and beyond, but it will remain hot. Replenished low-level moisture will keep good to excellent humidity recoveries going thru eastern NM, expanding into parts of the Rio Grande Valley Wednesday morning and beyond. Precipitation chances remain near zero most areas this week, increased late next weekend into early next week. ................................................................
