Critical fire weather concerns are not expected through the next week. Winds and humidity levels are forecast to remain below critical thresholds, while recent improvements in soil moisture will preclude any rapid fire growth. A weak disturbance will track eastward along the CO/NM border tonight, bringing isolated light rain showers and some high-elevation snow near Raton Pass Thursday morning. Models have gradually increased precipitation chances for Friday and Saturday, with scattered showers generally along and south of I-40, and snow possible over the highest elevations. Ventilation rates will trend downward, with poor to fair conditions expect to persist through early next week. ................................................................
