.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the early evening,
drifting from west to east at about 15-20 mph. Prevailing winds
will be light from the west, but any passing showers or storms could
quickly produce abrupt and gusty winds. Stronger storms will be
capable of producing heavy downpours of 0.50 to 1.0 inch in less than
an hour`s time along with hail and dangerous cloud-to-ground
lightning. Storms will move off to the east by sunset with a slow
clearing trend overnight. Storms will then redevelop Saturday
afternoon through the evening over and east of the Sangre de Cristo
mountains with lower chances of a direct hit over the NM 434
corridor tomorrow.
