.DISCUSSION...
A backdoor cold front that moved through the area early this morning
brought a northeast wind shift with rising humidity. The front will
serve as a trigger for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
Storms will develop over the high terrain around 1pm then move to the
southeast over the burn area by 3pm. Outflow winds will be strong with
any of this activity. A direct hit will produce wetting rainfall with
even some heavy rainfall possible. Showers will continue through this
evening. Overnight humidity recovery will be higher than shown in the
forecast if wetting rainfall hits the burn area. Another round of
showers and thunderstorms will develop over the high terrain Thursday
but steering flow may take activity more to the west of the area
with gusty outflow winds still likely.
