.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will multiply across central New Mexico
through the early evening, drifting from southwest to northeast at
15 to 20 mph. Storms will be capable of producing brief downpours
with wetting rainfall of 0.25 to 0.75 inches being the most likely
amounts before midnight. Prevailing winds will be from the west
southwest with moderate speeds, but thunderstorm outflows will
disrupt this late this afternoon into the evening. Good overnight
humidity recovery is forecast through Tuesday morning, and then
another round of afternoon showers and thunderstorms will develop
later in the day.

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms in the afternoon. Thunderstorms
will drift from southwest to northeast at 15 to
20 mph.
Chance of Pcpn......40 percent.
Max Temperature.....68-72.
Min Humidity........44-48 percent.
20 Foot Winds.......West southwest at 4 to 8 mph in sheltered areas
with stronger speeds of 8 to 12 mph and
occasional gusts to 16 mph on exposed ridges.
Gusty and erratic winds expected near
thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoon.
Transport winds.....Southwest 5 knots.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...
Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms in the evening, then rain showers
overnight.
Chance of Pcpn......80 percent.
Min Temperature.....54-58.
Max Humidity........84-88 percent.
20 Foot Winds.......Nearby thunderstorms will produce gusty and erratic
winds in the early evening. Winds will tend to be
from the west, shifting more from the north by the
late evening with speeds reducing to 3 to 6 mph
after midnight.
.WEDNESDAY...
Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain showers in the
morning, then rain showers and chance of
thunderstorms in the afternoon. Thunderstorms
will drift from southwest to northeast at 10 to
15 mph.
Chance of Pcpn......90 percent.
Max Temperature.....66-70.
Min Humidity........54-58 percent.
20 Foot Winds.......Light and terrain dominated at less than 5 mph in
the morning, turning west southwest at 3 to 6 mph in
sheltered areas with stronger speeds of 6 to 10 mph
on exposed ridges. Gusty and erratic winds expected
near thunderstorms in the afternoon.
