.DISCUSSION...
Rainfall estimates from radar show that up to 0.25 inches has fallen
in and around the fire area over the last 24 hours, with up to 2
inches of accumulation throughout the past 72 hours. Overall coverage
and intensity of showers and storms will begin to decline today,
with additional rainfall amounts generally less than 0.10 inches expected
through midnight tonight. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be in
place before greater shower and thunderstorm chances come into play
by the afternoon, dissipating by midnight. Winds will be out of the
south-southwest ranging between 5-10 mph, but any stronger storms
will be capable of producing erratic wind gusts up to 40 mph. As
alluded to above, drier conditions move in by the weekend as winds
turn to become more northwesterly. Precipitation chances ramp up
once again Sunday night heading into the next work week.
