.DISCUSSION...
High pressure will be overhead just south of the wildfire location
Monday and Tuesday. This will result in warmer temperatures closer
to late June normals. However, above average atmospheric moisture will
remain in place and this will result in the chance for some showers
and storms during the afternoon and evening hours. Generally, rainfall
amounts through Tuesday evening look to be around 0.25 to 0.75 inches.
However, locally heavy rainfall rates and amounts will be possible due
to the above average moisture and slow storm motion. This could possibly
result in some localized flash flooding. Erratic and gusty winds will
also be possible near any storms that develop. The overnight hours will
be quieter with partly to mostly cloudy skies and excellent humidity
recoveries. A greater coverage of showers and storms is expected mid week.
