...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY
UNTIL 1145 PM MDT...

At 1121 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles southeast of Elkins, or 37 miles east of Roswell, moving
southwest at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Mainly rural areas of East Central Chaves County.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 182 and 200.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
