...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MDT FOR
EAST CENTRAL COLFAX COUNTY...
At 433 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles northwest
of Farley, or 25 miles east of Springer, moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of East Central Colfax County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
