...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 5 AM MST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
  12 inches, except up to 15 inches in the mountains near the
  Colorado border, and 3 to 6 inches below 7500 feet.

* WHERE...East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Northern Sangre de
  Cristo Mountains, and Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton
  Pass.

* WHEN...From noon today to 5 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
  reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
  in front of you. This includes I-25 over Raton Pass. The hazardous
  conditions will impact commutes this evening and Thursday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to accumulate near the
  Colorado border late this morning, then accumulating snow will
  become widespread in the afternoon. The heaviest snowfall is
  expected this evening, when the visibility will drop below a
  quarter mile at times.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 5 AM MST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3
  inches, except 3 to 6 inches above 7500 feet.  Locally higher
  amounts near 8 inches along the east slopes of the Jemez Mountains.

* WHERE...Far Northwest Highlands and Jemez Mountains.

* WHEN...From noon today to 5 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on snow packed or icy road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions will impact commutes this evening and
  Thursday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin to accumulate near the
  Colorado border late this morning, then accumulating snow will
  spread to the Jemez Mountains as well during the afternoon. The
  heaviest snowfall will occur Wednesday evening in most places,
  when the visibility will drop below a half mile at times.

AM MST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5
  inches, with locally higher amounts on Sandia Crest.

* WHERE...Sandia and Manzano Mountains including Edgewood.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on snow packed or icy road conditions for commutes
  this evening and Thursday morning. This includes I-40 through
  Tijeras Canyon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow will occur this evening,
  when the visibility will drop below a quarter mile at times in
  blowing snow. East canyon wind gusts up to 35 mph during the
  evening and through the late night hours.

  inches below 7500 feet, and between 4 and 8 inches above 7500
  feet. Locally up to 10 inches on the highest peaks of the Sangre
  de Cristo Mountains.

* WHERE...Glorieta Mesa Including Glorieta Pass, Southern Sangre de
  Cristo Mountains, Tusas Mountains Including Chama, Upper Rio
  Grande Valley, Far Northeast Highlands, and Northeast Highlands.

* WHEN...From noon today to 5 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
