...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Dakota...

  James River near Stratford affecting Brown and Spink Counties.

.For sites with a river forecast, the forecast includes
precipitation through the next 24 hours. Any future precipitation
could affect the forecasts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday afternoon at 400 PM
CDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...James River near Stratford.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, significant amounts of agricultural lands
  begin flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 6:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 14.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady above flood
    stage at 14.2 feet.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
