...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...East Central Hyde County in central South Dakota...

* WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will
  take several hours for all the water from these storms to work
  through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 726 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the
    warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring.
    Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Multiple county roads
    have been reported to have water over portions of them and road
    closures are underway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
