.DISCUSSION...

Our very warm and mainly dry trend will continue through at least
Saturday, with high temperatures in the 80s across much of the
region. Winds will continue to slowly diminish into Thursday morning,
and remain light through much of the day, while increasing out of the
south 10 to 15 mph west of the Missouri River in the afternoon. Drier
air will be overhead, with relative humidity values falling into the
30 to near 40 percent range.

A windy weekend is forecast! On Saturday, winds will gust out of the
south 35 to 45 mph from south central to northeastern South Dakota
and west central Minnesota. On Sunday, winds will be switching out of
the northwest behind a cold front, gusting 35 to near 50 mph.
Relative humidity values will be in the 30 percent range Saturday,
while mainly in the 40 percent range over north central South Dakota.
On Sunday, relative humidity values should be at or above 50
percent. There is an 80 percent or greater of a wetting rain (at or
over 0.10 inches of precipitation) for at least central South Dakota.
