.DISCUSSION...
With a rather brief warmup possible heading into Tuesday,
precipitation potential sets up as a wintry mix across central South
Dakota, with mainly just snow chances across north central and
northeast South Dakota. Winds will maintain a southerly to westerly
component tonight through Tuesday. However, another shot of colder
air is forecast to move into the region Tuesday night and Wednesday
as winds turn northerly behind a strong cold frontal passage Tuesday
night and increase to 15 to 30 mph with occasionally higher gusts.
Snow covers the whole forecast area, and afternoon relative humidity
is not really expected to fall below 65 percent during the next
several days.
