.DISCUSSION...Hot temperatures will continue this afternoon with
readings topping out around 105 degrees. Southeast winds may gust
up to around 20 mph through the afternoon and evening hours.
Showers and thunderstorms are currently developing across western
SD and expected to eventually move into central SD over the next
few hours. Severe storms are possible, with strong wind gusts from
75 to 90 mph being the main threat. It may be difficult to get
rainfall over 0.50in since the storms will be rather high-based
and moving at a fairly good clip. Will continue to monitor
rainfall in the Fort Pierre area.
