A wintry mix of mainly freezing rain, sleet, and snow will continue to develop through the morning. Warmer air moving into portions of central South Dakota in the afternoon will transition precipitation to mainly rain south of U.S. Highway 14. Elsewhere, mostly freezing rain and sleet should persist into this afternoon. Total ice accumulations between a few hundredths and two tenths of an inch are expected, with locally higher amounts. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. For Friday night through midday Saturday, there is a 30 to 50% chance of more than 3 inches of snow southwest of a line from Miller to McLaughlin. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Light snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. For Friday night through midday Saturday, snow accumulations up to an inch are possible west of a line from Leola to Watertown. There is a 30 to 50 percent chance wind chill values will fall to -30F or colder heading into early Sunday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be requested.
