Northerly winds can be expected on Wednesday with cooler temperatures in the 60s. Afternoon humidity is forecast to drop to between 40 and 55 percent for most locations west of the Prairie Coteau of northeast South Dakota, with somewhat higher humidity values on and east of the Coteau. On Thursday, strong north to northwest winds gusting in excess of 45 mph are possible across at least central and north central South Dakota. With those strong winds, afternoon humidity is forecast to drop between 40 and 55 percent at its lowest for most locations west of the Prairie Coteau of northeast South Dakota, with somewhat higher humidity values on and east of the Coteau.
