.DISCUSSION...

Mainly dry conditions today, though we cant rule out a storm or two
across the area, with the most likely location for that to occur
being south central South Dakota.

Winds slowly shift back to southerly for Wednesday, at about 10 to
20 mph, with temperatures back up to around 80 degrees and afternoon
humidity between 40 and 60 percent outside of northwest South Dakota
where it will be closer to 30 percent.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Wednesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low to moderate category.
