Early morning showers and storms will be possible across south central South Dakota along with parts of northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota. Drier conditions will set in by mid to late morning and persist through the remainder of the day. A cold front will track south across central and southern South Dakota this afternoon and tonight. A few more storms could develop this evening into the early overnight across portions of south central South Dakota. Some severe weather will be possible with large hail and damaging winds the main threats. Winds will become northerly today and remain relatively light between 10-15 mph. Minimum relative humidity values will be the lowest across parts of north central South Dakota ranging from 35-40 percent.
