Snow will continue to fall through the daytime hours today but gradually taper off from west to east through the afternoon and early evening. Winds will become more north to northwesterly with time and increase throughout the day. Gusts will range between 20-35 mph with the strongest winds expected across parts of central and south central South Dakota. This will lead to blowing and drifting snow and locally reduced visibility at times. Winds become more light tonight as high pressure builds in. Dry but very cold conditions can be expected for the remainder of the weekend into early next week.
