.DISCUSSION...

Winds will be fairly light across the region again today and favor a
northeast direction as the day progresses. Lowest afternoon humidity
will be found across central South Dakota, with readings dropping to
between 30 and 35 percent west of the Missouri River.

Light easterly breezes are forecast on Thursday as afternoon
humidity drops to between 30 and 55 percent across the region,
lowest across central South Dakota.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Thursday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
