.DISCUSSION...

Overall dry conditions expected today through the end of the week.
Winds will turn out of the south to southeast this afternoon around 5
to 10 mph. Winds will then switch out of northwest along and west of
the Missouri River Wednesday afternoon. Minimum relative humidity
this afternoon and Wednesday afternoon range from 60 to 90 percent.

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Wednesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.
