Variable winds will turn more westerly early this morning before switching northwesterly by the mid morning or so with speeds between 5 to 10 mph. Afternoon relative humidity will drop between 30 to 40 percent over central South Dakota while remaining above 40 percent over northeastern South Dakota. Spotty afternoon thunderstorms are possible over portions of northeastern SD with lightning being the main threat. Dry conditions expected Saturday and breezy with sustained winds between 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 45mph, highest over portions of north central South Dakota. Relative humidity by the afternoon is forecast to range between 30 to 45 percent across the forecast area.
