South to southeasterly wind gusts of 25-30 mph are expected today across south central SD. A Marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) is in place for storms this evening across the majority of the forecast area. Hazards are 1 inch diameter hail and 60-70 mph wind gusts. Brief heavy downpours are also possible. There is also a Slight risk (level 2 out of 5) for north central SD and a Marginal risk for areas west of the Prairie Coteau/Sisseton Hills for Saturday evening. Wind gusts of 60-70 mph and 1 to 1.5 inch hail are expected.
