.DISCUSSION...

Above normal temperatures on Sunday in the 50s to near 60 degrees
across Jones/Lyman counties. Afternoon humidity is forecast to range
from 45 to 55 percent across those counties, lowest along the White
River. Southerly winds in the morning will become northwest during
the afternoon with gusts around 25 mph. Fire danger will be elevated
across south central SD on Sunday.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Sunday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low to high (Jones/Lyman counties) category.
