...LOCALLY STRONG DOWNSLOPE WIND GUSTS TONIGHT ON AND EAST OF THE
SISSETON HILLS...

Locally strong and gusty south to southwesterly winds of 20 to 30
mph with occasional gusts of 40 to 55 mph are expected along the
eastern slopes of the Sisseton Hills this evening into the early
morning hours on Tuesday. The locations most affected will be the
higher terrain areas of the Sisseton Hills as well as up to 15
miles east of the hills. This includes Interstate 29 between
Summit and Peever, or between mile markers 210 and 225. U.S.
Highway 12 from Summit to Milbank may also experience strong
winds. Snow cover to blow around is limited, but isolated patches
of blowing snow are possible. The main concern is the impact
strong wind gusts could have on high profile vehicles tonight.
