Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
255 AM CST Tue Nov 25 2025 /155 AM MST Tue Nov 25 2025/

The main concerns through tonight will be strong winds and snow.

Strong winds gusting out of the northwest 40 to near 60 mph over
central South Dakota during the morning hours will expand to eastern
South Dakota and west central Minnesota this afternoon, and linger
over northeastern South Dakota and western Minnesota this evening.

Rain will be changing over to snow through the morning hours. The
strong winds will combine with the snow to create patchy blowing
snow. Higher snowfall amounts and these strong winds will create
blowing snow with visibility falling to 1/2 mile or less at times
this afternoon over northeastern South Dakota and west central
Minnesota. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute.

The highest snowfall amounts of around 4 to 8 inches are forecast
by late this evening over grassy and elevated surfaces across far
northeastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota, mainly
northeast of a line from Aberdeen to Rauville and Clear Lake.

Temperatures today will be near 30 degrees for much of the day. Cold
air will settle in through the weekend, with highs through Friday in
the 20s to low 30s. Lows tonight will be in the upper teens.
