Increasing mid to high clouds are expected for the rest of the
afternoon through late this evening and dry conditions. With a weak
mid level disturbance passing over the listening area, there is a 15
to 30% chance of light rain and weak thunderstorms late tonight
through Sunday morning. Due to low level dry air from a surface high,
any rain that makes it to the ground will be light, ranging from a
trace to a few hundredths. A more organized system will track across
the Northern Plains early Monday through Monday evening. Confidence
is high on widespread rain and perhaps weak thunderstorms. There is a
60 to 80% chance of rainfall exceeding half an inch and 20 to 50%
chance of exceeding one inch. With the passing of the cold front,
winds will increase out of the west to northwest Monday afternoon
with gusts of 30 to potentially 40 mph.

Lows for tonight are forecast in the upper 40s to the lower 50s and
highs for Sunday in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Cooler
temperatures continue through next week, with the possible exception
of a brief warmup to around normal Monday.
