Hot and humid conditions will be the weather themes for the day
across the listening area. Hot temperatures this afternoon will
combine with high humidity to produce heat indices in the upper 90s
to low 100s for some areas. A Heat Advisory has been issued for
locales in the James Valley and points south and west toward Miller,
Pierre and Kennebec as well as to the south and east toward locales
such as Watertown and Milbank. An isolated thunderstorm or two will
be possible late this afternoon across mainly the far northeast
corner of South Dakota into west central Minnesota. Some storms could
be severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats.
A few more storms could be possible late tonight into early Tuesday
across parts of central into northeast South Dakota. Drier and cooler
conditions will return by midweek.

Highs today will top out in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Lows tonight
will drop back into the low to mid 60s. Highs on Tuesday will reach
the 80s.
