Radio Weather Synopsis
National Weather Service Aberdeen SD
104 PM CDT Sun Oct 12 2025 /1204 PM MDT Sun Oct 12 2025/

While there is a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain showers this
afternoon over central South Dakota and early this evening over
eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota, little to no
accumulation is expected.

Winds have shifted out of a west to northwesterly direction for all
but far eastern South Dakota and west central Minnesota, which will
switch prior to 6 PM. The strong winds gusting 25 to 35 mph will
slowly diminish this evening through the overnight hours as a cool
ridge of high pressure slides across the area.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s by daybreak Monday. Cooler air
and diminishing winds will create the potential for frost
development over central South Dakota. A few locations may fall
below freezing, especially near and west of Mobridge. Highs Monday
will be in the 50s.
