Spot Forecast for F/V Sea Urn Grounging...NOAA OR&R
National Weather Service Anchorage AK
317 PM AKDT Wed Sep 3 2025

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1500 AKDT on September 03.
.DISCUSSION...

Through Thursday morning, a weak front will bring southeasterly
winds and about a 30% chance for rain showers. By late Thursday
morning/early Thursday afternoon, high pressure will lead to winds
of 10 kt or less and dry conditions through Friday. By this
weekend, the outlook is for more active weather as an approaching
front will likely bring light rain and winds to about 20-25 kt.

Notes: Forecast currents are unavailable. Overall forecast
confidence is lowest for ceilings, visibility, and wave height as
the nearest observations are at Kodiak Airport/PADQ (about 30
statute miles SW of the spill) and buoy 46080 (about 85 statue
miles E of the spill). In addition, microclimate effects in the
bay may lead to localized weather that are difficult to predict.
