.DISCUSSION...
A cool, stagnant pattern will persist for the next couple days as
a couple passing upper level disturbances lifting north into the
Gulf coast bring gradually increasing mid to upper level cloud
cover overhead. A strong temperature inversion in place this
morning will keep mixing heights very low, with only a slight
increase for each upcoming afternoon during the small amount of
heating influence from sunlight. There will be a slight chance of
very light snow or flurries starting mainly tonight into Thursday
near a weak low drifting near the southeast coast of the Kenai
Peninsula, but the best snowfall chances will likely stay off to
the east closer to Whittier.
