...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON
AKST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain and snow expected. Total snow accumulation up
  to 1 inch. Ice accumulation up to one tenth of an inch.


* WHERE...Sterling Highway Corridor from south of Clam Gulch to west
  of Homer.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the holiday travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A light wintry mix of precipitation will
  develop late this afternoon and continue through Thursday.
  Precipitation may begin as a period of light snow, but is expected
  to transition to light freezing rain Wednesday evening as
  temperatures climb to around freezing. Temperatures may climb
  above freezing by late Thursday morning as southeasterly winds
  increase. Any rain on frozen surfaces may create hazardous travel
  conditions.

* WHAT...Wintry mix of snow, freezing rain, and rain expected. Total
  snow accumulation up to one inch. Ice accumulation of a glaze up
  to a tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Sterling Highway between Cooper Landing and Sterling,
  including Jean Lake.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 3 AM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the holiday travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A light wintry mix of precipitation will
  develop late tonight and continue through Thursday. Precipitation
  may begin as a period of light snow, but is expected to transition
  to light freezing rain Thursday morning as temperatures climb to
  around freezing. Temperatures may climb above freezing Thursday
  afternoon as easterly winds increase. Any rain on frozen surfaces
  may create hazardous travel conditions.

* WHAT...Wintry mix of snow and rain expected. Total snow
  accumulation of 6 to 12 inches.

* WHERE...Seward Highway from Primrose to Hope.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 3 AM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the holiday travel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow will develop by late this evening.
  Snow is expected to become heavier overnight into Thursday
  morning. Snow levels will slowly rise overnight to between 1,000
  ft and 1,500 ft by Thursday morning. Snow may mix with or change
  to all rain Thursday as temperatures climb into the mid 30s. Any
  rain on snow covered surfaces may lead to ponding of water on
  roadways and create hazardous travel conditions.
