...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM
AKST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 10
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...East Turnagain Arm.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Steady snowfall will begin this evening and
  continue through the overnight hours.  A period of intense
  snowfall rates of up to 1 to 2 inches per hour is likely late
  Monday morning.  Snow will taper off quickly during the afternoon
  and evening on Monday.

  inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portage and Whittier.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Steady snowfall will begin this evening and
  intensify Monday morning. A period of heavy snowfall rates of 1 to
  2 inches per hour is likely on Monday morning.  Some mixing with
  rain is possible at times, especially near Whittier.  The highest
  snowfall totals of up to 20 inches are likely over Portage Valley.
  Snow will taper off by Monday evening.
