...SKILAK GLACIER DAMMED LAKE RELEASE...

The Skilak glacier dammed lake (GDL) is releasing based on observed
stage increases downriver. Residents along the Kenai River
downstream of Skilak Lake should be aware of rising water through
Tuesday. The Kenai River below Skilak Lake is expected to reach
action stage (12.46 ft above gage datum) Tuesday morning, but is not
expected to move into flood stage. The Kenai River at Kenai Keys
will now reach into action stage (10.09 ft) and crest Tuesday
morning. The Kenai River at Soldotna will crest below action stage
(10.29 ft) Tuesday afternoon. Flooding is not anticipated along the
Kenai River at this time.
